There’s not much to think about when it comes to the name Bliss on Beacon. From the gas lit, brick lined streets of Beacon Hill where Katelyn spent her first years of city living to the longest thoroughfare in the city, Beacon Street, where Meghan got her inspiration for this blog, the word “beacon” is synonymous with our beloved city. Boston is the perfect juxtaposition of past and present, new and old, classic and modern.
This is what Bliss on Beacon is all about – a place to merge these ideals into one place. Starting with two women, having so much in common, yet so incredibly different. This is where we’ll share all things that delight and inspire us in hopes that it will do the same for you…

I am the ultimate girly-girl. I obsess over all things feminine; lace, florals, bows, glitter and (of course) anything heart shaped. I am a true hopeless romantic, I absolutely adore my loving boyfriend of 3 years, regularly driving him nuts with my fairy tale fantasies.
A New England native, I love being close to my roots and my family, who mean the world to me. I admire my parent’s for many reasons, but in particular their commitment to an active lifestyle. I strive to follow their example, through healthy living (though I do admit to an insane sweet tooth!).
I value my friendships dearly, maintaining many established from my earliest memories, before kindergarten. I hold my friends, both near and far, close to my heart at all times.
My ideal Saturday night varies between staying in with a movie marathon/page turner, or getting all dressed up for a night out (a big event for someone spending their whole week in scrubs!).
Starting Bliss on Beacon is a dream come true, a place for me to express all my creative impulses. BOB is the one place where all things Meghan, my truest passions come together. Enjoy!

Starting with being born and raised in the city of Fall River, a place that made me forever rough around the edges, I’ve always known myself to be a city girl at heart. However, putting roots down in Boston for the past six years has me permanently terrified of sprinting for the suburbs anytime soon.
Now, I’m happiest with cooler weather in jeans and sweaters when it still makes sense to pair with flip flops in the gorgeous New England fall. There is nothing better to me than a great meal with a good glass of wine surrounded by truly fantastic people. Nevermind if it’s a home cooked dinner in my Charlestown kitchen or a gourmet meal at a new restaurant I’ve been itching to try -I truly love it all.
Travel is one of the most important things to me and I’ll never be done discovering new places. I’ve got an amazing boyfriend of 2 years who “refuses” to watch chick flicks with me- and by refuses I mean, I never ask. Here, I’ll share my love of all things polka dotted, 50’s infused, and fun! Enjoy!
